Bob Vernon - Vernon Farms [Video Testimonial]
Watch below as we join Bob Vernon from Vernon farms as he talks to us about his Revolution Swinga post driver, why he chose to go with Revolution, and some of the useful features that still surprise him to this day.
Bob is a farmer at Vernon Farms, a ~500 acre farm in the hills of Ramarama, a small community south of Auckland.
Vernon Farms are in the process of fencing off all their unproductive farm and gullies to plant native trees and bush.
In the need for a new post driver, Bob was offered another brands post driver second hand. The second hand post driver Bob was offered was comparible in price to a brand new Revolution Swinga post driver. The new machine had a ton more features that appealed to Bob so, for him, it was a no brainer.
He went with Revolution.
The Revolution Swinga is a lite form, extremely versatile post driver that can be used on the back of tractors, skids, excavators and more. The Swinga is a rear mounted unit and has 220 degrees of rotation and a telescopic mast.
What won Bob over was the telescopic mast.
“… the ability to telescope the mast, not climbing up and putting pins in, for getting under powerlines and trees, that, and putting it away at the end of the day to get it in the shed”
The Swinga is a compact unit packed full of features along with a 300kg hammer, 57 degrees of mast angle variation, and 600mm of side shift there isn’t too much the Swinga can’t do.
The telescopic mast allows the Swinga to compact down to 3.3m or extend up to 5.4m high and it can all be done easily from the independent valve bank.
No need to change parts or pull pins.
There is a lot more to the Swinga than just the telescopic mast though. Bob purchased his Revolution Swinga in 2019 and is still discovering new ways the Swinga makes fencing easier.
“Using it is the only way to discover how advanced it is. It just keeps going, your imagination, it exceeds that. You just keep learning”
