Revolution Telescopic Swinga

Compact access, zero offside interference. The same reach, mast, and power as the 180 — in a smaller footprint that gets into gaps, corners, and tight spaces where a larger frame can't go.

The post driver at a glance

The Revolution Swinga delivers the full capability of the Revolution range in a compact package. 220° of rotation via a hydraulic slew ring, 600 mm of end shift, and the same telescopic mast as the 180 — without the subframe. No offside interference means you can point it through gaps between trees, into building corners, along retaining walls, or into tight stockyards. Mounts to tractors, skid steers, tracked machines, and more.

  • 220° of rotation - Hydraulic slew ring, geared down for a controlled, high-torque swing. More rotational range than any other model in the Revolution lineup.

  • Telescopic mast - Compacts to 3.1 m for travel. Extends to 5.4 m for full working height. 300 kg lead-filled hammer as standard, upgradable to 340 kg+.

  • 600 mm end shift - Additional reach on top of the rotation, so the rammer goes to the post — not your tractor.

  • Up to 3 hydraulic legs - Level and stabilise on uneven ground. 1 under the mast, 2 under the base. A recommended upgrade for contoured terrain.

  • Up to 11 tonne of pulling power - Pull strainers and posts on the spot via chain hook. More than a front-end loader, and faster because you're not moving the machine.

  • Drive to ground level - Drive foots, deadman anchors, and subterranean tie-backs without extra tools. Remove the hammer entirely to drive below ground for fully buried applications.

Engineered strong where the stress is, light where it isn't. UHMWPE wear pads on all moving parts — no steel-on-steel contact anywhere in the movement. Built for balance, longevity, and low maintenance.

With a sandblasted and two-pack paint finish as standard — Revolutions are built to handle the tough conditions they work in.

Why Revolution?

Quality that goes the distance

Revolution post drivers are built for people who value good machinery and expect it to last. The oldest machines in the field are still working after 25 years. That's not an accident — it's a design philosophy rooted in a contractor's mindset. Downtime costs money, breakdowns lose you jobs, and replacing machinery every few years is a cost you shouldn't have to accept.

Designed by a fencer. Tested on the fence line.

Revolution is backed by Tony White — a fencing contractor with over 30 years in the business, running his own company and using the equipment he designed on the fence line every day. Every Revolution is designed with frontline fencing knowledge, tested within a working contracting business, and refined before it reaches the market.

When you pick up a Revolution, you'll notice things other machines don't think about.

Made in New Zealand

Designed, manufactured, and assembled in New Zealand by local companies. Parts sourced locally. When you need something, it's available — not shipped from the other side of the world.

The Swinga In Detail

The base

The Swinga delivers the same reach and mast as the 180 in a compact footprint with no subframe. No offside interference — point it through gaps between trees, into building corners, along retaining walls, or into tight stockyards and landscaping applications where a larger frame can't go. Easy to store under cover when not in use.

220° of rotation via a hydraulic slew ring, geared down for a controlled, high-torque swing. 600 mm of end shift sits on top of the rotation.

Despite appearing significantly smaller than the 180, the Swinga is within approximately 10 kg of the same total weight — the mass is concentrated differently, not reduced.

On steep ground, the Swinga's rotational ability lets you move weight behind the tractor wheel, adding safety. Slew the machine while driving to shift balance to the uphill side. An optional slew kit allows you to control rotation from the tractor seat without stopping to walk to the valve bank.

With a conventional fixed machine, you're constantly repositioning the tractor, hopping on and off, shuffling to line up. With the Swinga, the post driver does the moving. Get the tractor close enough, then move the rammer to the mark. One operator, one position, multiple posts.

Telescopic mast

The telescopic mast is the backbone of the Swinga. It compacts to 3.1 m for safe travel under power lines and bridges, and extends to 5.4 m for full working height — enough to drive a 4.2 m post with room to spare or stand a 3.6 m strainer.

Pull posts and strainers on the spot via chain hook — up to 11 tonne of pulling power. More than a front-end loader, and faster because you're not moving the machine.

The mast drives posts all the way to ground level without extra tools. Drive foots, deadman anchors, and subterranean tie-backs. Remove the hammer entirely to drive below ground for fully buried applications.

20° of hydraulic side tilt gets you back to plumb on angled ground. The hydraulic top link controls forward and backward angle — draft in, draft out, stand it up or lay it over. Combined, you can position the mast precisely in virtually any orientation.

The working face is hardened Bizalloy steel, replaceable after years of heavy use without disturbing the mast's structural integrity.

Hydraulic legs

Hydraulic legs level and stabilise the Swinga on uneven ground — and in fencing, there's no such thing as flat ground.

The Swinga supports up to 3 hydraulic feet when tractor-mounted: 1 under the mast and 2 under the base. On a skid steer mount, 1 hydraulic foot under the mast. They stabilise the machine during hammer strikes, reduce stress and wear across every component, and let you work positions that would otherwise push the machine around.

Standard machines come with manual-adjust feet only. Hydraulic feet are a recommended upgrade.

Mounting, safety, and operation

The Swinga mounts to a tractor or skid steer and switches between them in minutes — swap the mounting plate and top link ram length. Also compatible with tracked machines, diggers, and bulldozers. One person can attach it to a tractor: connect your hoses, walk to the valve bank, use the top link valve to draft the tractor in, and apply your pins.

The valve bank is mounted off the base, not the mast, so your controls stay stable regardless of mast angle. A safety pin secures the hammer during travel. A port relief valve in the hammer circuit protects your seal kit and rope from pressure spikes. The hammer valve is isolated from other controls to prevent accidental activation.

Revolution also offers a remote control service for your skid steer — the operator stands outside the machine and drives the rammer to them. One person, no cab time, more posts in the ground.

Upgrades and accessories

Upgrades

Live post cap — Follows the post as it drives down on an angle. Stops the post springing to the side when you lift the cap off. Replaces the standard contractors cap.

Slew kit — Allows rotation from the tractor seat while driving, so you don't need to stop and walk to the valve bank to slew. Not applicable on skid steer mounts.

Heavier hammer — Upgrade from the standard 300 kg to 340 kg+.

Hydraulic feet — Up to 3 hydraulic feet on a tractor mount. Standard machines come with manual-adjust feet only. Recommended for contoured or uneven terrain.

Accessories

Rock spike kit — For displacing stone, river run, asphalt, and shingle beds.

Auger kit — For drilling sedimentary material like limestone, papa, and sandstone.

Spirit level holder

Most machines go out with both a rock spike kit and an auger kit — ground conditions can change within a few kilometres. Rock spikes displace stone. Augers drill and remove sedimentary material. Both are interchangeable and swap over on two main hinge pins.

Note: The Swinga has no post rack or storage tray options — there's no subframe to mount them to.
